Don't make me say it

Katrina's ears lay down on her head and she gave a blank expression. "What?" She mewed sounding annoyed, with a hint of disbelief clinging to her question ever so faintly.

A few families passed by. Pedestrians occasionally stopping to glance at the awkward couple standing in front of the Italian restaurant and a few even pointing and mentioning to one another that they recognized them.

Nitros snickered. "Yup! you heard me, we ain't goin out to eat unless ya say it right here in front of people." Nitros knew she hated this sort of thing, but her reactions to these sorts of things were always absolutely adorable.

Her eyes narrowed and she opened her mouth to protest, but the delicious aroma of her next meal danced upon her nose in a rather seductive manner. "A-ahh... t-this isn't fair..." she mewed softly. She lifted her arms in a shrugging motion. "Do.. I have to say it?"

Nitros smiled and put his hands in his pockets.

"Yup."

Katrina gritted her teeth and prepared a refusal but heard her tummy growl rather loudly. She glared at him again before sighing. "Y-you'd better buy me t-twice as much now!" She squeaks.

Nitros laughs. "Yeah, sure, it's a deal if you say it." She frowned and looked around at the people. There was no turning back now, there was food on the line. She took a few deep breaths and blushed.

"I...."

The letter was soft, forced it sounded unsure yet very true and sincere.

"L-L...."

She stammered.

"Love..."

This word came out even weaker, a slight squeak barely audible to even herself.

"you..."

She mewed shyly, refusing to look him in the eye. She knew he would give that dumb little smile of his. The one he did when he was so happy and ready to poke fun at her. It was that little smile, that said that he was right and it always pissed her off. She could feel her face reddening and the people looking in her direction, it was obvious how embarrassed she was and a few people were even smiling. Her eyes caught his face and there it was, his cocky smirk.

It would gnaw at her inside and tear her apart to think about that STUPID. LITTLE. SMILE.

Because deep down, she knew that she thought it was cute. And she hated that.

I got to use some more new markers here and I like the result. Also Katrina looks a bit more chunky here than usual, but so far everyone else whose seen it agrees with me that they seem to like it better this way. A mishap with my sketch seems to once again pay off XP.

Regardless, Katrina has some real issues with telling Nitros that she loves him, especially in public. XD. She disliked him for a very long time and once she fell in love with him her pride is still stepping in her way to keep her from showing her true feelings. Just another Tsundere moment for her I guess, XP.
