Silencer giggled excitedly as she sneaked up the stairs, trying her hardest to keep her furry little discovery quiet. She leaned down to it's snout and put a finger up to it's mouth. "Shhh, You're supposed to be quiet! I want to surprise her!". She giggles as the creature licks her finger curiously. "I can't believe I found a puppy outside... You're so cute! Katrina loves cute things! I'll let you play with her a bit before I find your owner!" She whispers.

Katrina was standing in her room, looking in the mirror as she combed her hair, making sure that she didn't look silly when she went outside. Everything seemed in place... except for that damn Cowlick.. For almost her entire life, that damn piece of hair refused to stay down, and even if she got it cut, it seemed to spring back up overnight. As if it were some sort of antennae integral to helping her receive signals from the rest of the world. She poked out her bottom lip and tried to pat it down a few times, of course to no avail.

A knock was heard at the door and she glanced back. "Um... Come in..." She says suddenly blushing. Silencer peeked her head into the room and smiled excitedly. "Close your eyes!" She said quickly.

Katrina cocked her head to the side. "Nyaa? My eyes, how come?" She asked looking confused.

Silencer waved her hand a bit. "Come on! Just hurry up and do it!! It's a surprise!" She insisted. Katrina continued to look confused, but held up her hands and covered her eyes. "O-Ok, but it better not be something nasty..." She says sounding almost worried. Her nose twitched and she sniffed the air a bit. She could smell something off, something familiar, and whatever it was, it made her stomach feel uneasy. Silencer walked up and procured the little puppy from behind her back and held it up towards Katrina.

"Ok, Open them!" She said with a smile.

Katrina slowly opened her eyes and the puppy came in to focus. At first, she didn't know what to do. Her eyes went wide and her mouth opened a bit, but she was unable to speak.

"Isn't it adorable!!" Silencer cooed. The puppy barked. And Katrina squeaked.

"...Huh?" Silencer raised an eyebrow and looked up at her friend. "What's up?"

Katrina lifted her arms back, looking like she didn't want to touch the fluffy creature in front of her. "P-Put that outside p-please... I-It's scaring me..." She said, her voice quivery.

Silencer chuckled a bit. "That's a good one Katrina, I couldn't imagine if some one was.... y..you're serious.."

She was dumbfounded. "Who the hell is scared of puppies!?" She asked herself. "I've seen her fight monsters and all sorts of demons... but.. she's scared of puppies!?"

The puppy yipped and Katrina squeaked stepping back. Her eyes were glassy and her bottom lip was quivering. "P-Please... t-t-take that a-away..." She mewed, her voice barely audible.

Silencer cocked her head to the side in confusion. "O-Ok, just a second...." She stammered, turning around and setting it down outside of the door and telling him to stay, before shutting the door softly and glancing back at her shaken friend.

"You... you're scared of puppies?..... Katrina why are you scared of puppies!?"

Katrina turned around, her face red, as she wiped some undeveloped tears from her eyes. "I-I don't know... I don't like them.. or big dogs... any dogs... they scare me... I get so nervous around them.. when they lick me, it feels like they're just tasting me..." She pokes her fingers together in a worried manner.

"O..Ok... I'll... go find his owner then.. I'm sorry I scared you..." Silencer said, still more confused than she had ever been before.

Pawing was heard at the door and Katrina watched it nervously. "P-please hurry..." The frightened cat girl mewed as she watched her confused friend slip out the door.

She gave a sigh of relief and fell back on her bed. "I thought I was gonna have a heart attack..."

Ever meet one of those people who seems to be scared of something really silly? Katrina is one of those people. It seems rather cliche that she's scared of dogs since she's a cat girl, but she was actually scared of dogs before she was part cat. The fear of dogs, if I'm not mistaken, is Cynophobia, and though it can be caused by a dog attack, sometimes, people are naturally just scared of dogs. Dogs can be potentially deadly creatures, so it's natural to be scared of them even if it's only a bit.

So don't bring any puppies over for Katrina, you may make her cry.... and if you bring a big dog, chances are she won't want to talk to you any more, lol. But Dogs aren't the only thing she's scared to death of....
