black history month

black history month? wtf is that? a month where in school you specialize in the study of black history? we're all people, with all sorts of histories. do you guys have aboriginal history month too? and, french history month? seriously, i dont see why you spoecialize with one special race's history for a month, when it took so many different nations to build your country. god... it's the meech lake accord all over again... WAIT! you dont have canadian history month, do you? well, let me explain to you the meech lake accord.

meech lake is a fancy ass resort, and about 20 years ago (canbt remember specific date) all our fancy ass politicians went to this meech lake place, to discuss the idea of giving the french quebeckers special rights. because, well the frnech have been abused in canada since 1812 when the brits came in and blasted their french asses all the way back to europe. anyway, they all went there with representatives from all the different peoples in CA. and they wanted to give the quebecois special rights for being the first here, and to keep quebec from sperating (an empty threat as far as i'm comncerned). but then, an aboriginal leader came up and said "hold on, johns! WE were here first, had our lands stripped away, but dont get any special rights, except for that junk which came with the treaties. and THAT was abused too! WE want special rights too!"

and that got the ball rolling. other nations came up and said "yeah! we want to be special too! not just those frenchy ass seperatists!" so, the deal fell through, and the frnehc didnt get any soecial rights. because, if they got to be special, everyone else wanted to be special too. which, leaves us at square one. so, they went and did it again at charettetown. of course, that felkl though too. so, that is the charletttown accord and th meech lake accord in a nutshell.

so, now in canada, no one gets a speciual history month, because all of the people are equal, no one better than or less special than another. at lkeast, that's how i sdee it.

and yes, you'll forget this in 20 minutes. but, THAT is why i dont understand the concept of black history month. yes, they were abused. does that make them any more special than abused children (for example)? i dont see a 'broken familes history month' either. well, that is my rather blurry concept. if you dont understand, that's ok. i dont really expect you to.
